Aug 13 - Mexico City

We arose early and had breakfast at a cheap joint. Checking out, we grabbed a taxi at the closest intersection and got to the ADO station around 10:40. The bus left roughly on time (a first I think!) We stopped only once for five minutes for a snack. By 5:15 or so we had arrived at TAPO in Mexico. Buying a taxi sitio ticket at the booth, we were driven to the hostel of the trip, El Montejo, only getting lost for about 10 minutes. Taxi drivers are notorious for not being able to find places in Mexico city, and I don't blame them given the size of the place.

The hostel was very clean and somewhat deserted, with a relaxed, almost hippie atmosphere including mellow music and incense. We headed to one of our host's favorite cheap taco places in eastern Polanco at the end of Presidente Mazaryk, the main street. Here we proceeded to eat the most delicious tacos ever. After walking around Polanco a bit, we were ready for sleep.
